Walk to Defeat MND 2026

This September, the AQC team came together to support the Walk to Defeat MND 2026, raising funds and awareness for people living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and their families.

The Walk to Defeat MND is an important annual fundraising event organised by MND South Australia (MNDSA). This year’s 5.5 km walk took participants around the River Torrens, bringing the community together to show support for those affected by MND. The event also celebrates MNDSA’s 40 years of supporting South Australians living with MND.

MND is a progressive neurological disease that affects a person’s ability to move, communicate, eat and, eventually, breathe. While there is currently no cure, organisations such as MNDSA provide essential support to people living with MND, as well as their families and carers.

Funds raised through events like the Walk help MNDSA provide vital services, including support coordination, information and advice, occupational therapy, access to assistive technology and equipment, and other specialised support.

We are incredibly proud that AQC exceeded our fundraising goal of $1,000, thanks to the generosity of our wonderful team, clients, families, friends and members of our wider community. We would also like to say thank you to everyone who donated to our fundraiser. Every donation helped us support MNDSA and the important work they do for South Australians living with MND.

A special thank you goes to the AQC team members who came along and took part in the walk. Your time and commitment to the cause made the walk even more special!
